Our mission at College Life is to provide and promote an enjoyable Christian atmosphere for all college-age students. In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus gives us the two greatest commandments ("Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."), therefore we are committed to Loving God and Loving People.
In order to be effective Christians, we aim to apply the four fundamentals (Reading the Bible, Prayer, Fellowship/Worship and Witnessing) of the Christian walk in our everyday lives. At College Life it is our desire to have hearts and minds that are Christ centered and actively pursue His heart through worship, discipleship, outreach and missions. We hope to warn every man and teach every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:28). In doing so we want to have fun!
We believe that the Christian life can be exciting, especially for college students. We want to be a group with eternal life that is living the "College Life."
CL CORE Discipleship: Ephesians 4:11 says, "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up." In the Bible, Jesus took twelve and taught them to His disciples. Discipleship is a time of small group accountability and in-depth study of the Word. There is no greater spiritual growth than what you will experience through discipleship and applying His Word to your life.
Thursday Night College Life Worship is led and attended by college-age students. We enjoy a time of fellowship and worship led by Micah Smith and the College Life Praise Band, with special video and drama presentations, followed by a Word from the evening's speaker. Now held at our new "College Life House" only 2.5 miles from the Tarleton campus and just south of Hard Eight Barbeque on Hwy 67, College Life Worship provides a great alternative to other Thursday night activities ("Tired of the bar life try College Life!"). The College Life House is equipped with pool and ping pong tables, a brand new sand volleyball court, horse shoe pit and much more. Following worship stick around for the famous Midnight Breakfast prepared and cooked fresh by college life members affectionatly known as the "Breakfast Club".
College Life Bible study (Sunday school) is an opportunity for learning Bible basics like the four fundamentals (Reading the Bible, Praying, Fellowshiping and Worshiping with believers and Witnessing). It also provides a more intimate time of life application study through small groups led by young married couples in the church. The Sunday Morning Worship Service is a church-wide worship service that provides a wonderful time of fellowship, worship and a message from the Word.
